Non realistic clouds in P3D V4.3

Recommended Posts

+1 on this list:

1. we are flying on a computer

2. your not going to replicate the natural world 100% - maybe not even 75%

3. "we are flying on a computer"

4. snapshots do not convey what one is seeing "on his or her computer"

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

I don't know why you are comparing apples and oranges. You can't even remotely compare the view from an airplane at high altitude and descending into a cloud layer with a scenic sunset photo while standing on a mountain.

I don't think that many people would want to trade a high framerate for perfectly calculated/drawn clouds and stutters.

After all this is a FLIGHT simulator.

We're talking about improvement. To improve something you have to have a goal, which is real life cloud appearance, as much as possible.

Couldn't agree more. If you're happy with saying "it's just a sim", we'd be stuck with this:

MSFS_Clouds

(Apologies to Mark - the original poster of this wonderful pic!).

Imho multi core main thread operation is far more important. Better fps and a smoother Sim ...

However, if we want it all LM has to start from scratch and no addon will be compatible anymore.

Are you Prepar3d to buy all addons all over again ? Many are not . Only the die-hards..
