Very interested in this particularly with Flight 1 GTN 750 integration. Need a review though!

Ok I bought it. How do you get 750 GTN integration? Anybody who has the 35A will appreciate their hangar, aircraft, payload panel. Interior nicely modeled.

First flight thoughts and notes:

The aircraft is beautiful, quality to be expected from FSW.

As most would know, the "eye candy" is not on par with some of the other developers, but I'm going for fidelity with FSW, not looks. With that said, I think it looks great.

I didn't spend too much time in the cabin, but it's a step up (if not more) from the 35A - great job!

The cockpit has a scale feel although if I had to pick something to complain about I think the window texture could pop out a little bit more.

Flight:

Engine startup went exactly as anticipated after following the directions on the pop up.

I couldn't get the GPU to connect, but managed to start off the batteries.

Engine startup sounds are great.

Taxing for the most part went well, although it had a slight left pulling tendency - this could be my sim and not the aircraft though.

Taking off had the same affect, again, could be me.

Climb out is where the fun begins. It has a great feel, the dynamics are really tuned in. One of the features that stood out was the fidelity of the airflow noise when accelerating - I can't recall hearing this as spot on as it sounded with another addon.

I conducted clean and dirty stalls. Clean stalled out around 115, dirty was about 95.

Activated the AP, heading, alt, vs, and apr all worked flawlessly.

Flew one visual approach and one ILS. AP for the ILS, disconnected at 200 AGL, no issues.

Landing and decel were great, the TR's really kick in and slow the aircraft down.

Taxi-in and engine shut down was quick and painless, engine spool down sounds are great.

Looking forward to a full flight and I'll post pictures.

When installed a folder appears on the desktop. There you can install the GTN 650/750 with the Management Tool. I also have Milviz radar and that is nicely integrated in the panel already activated if you have the radar.

Doesn't like a repaint I did for some reason. It shows up on the GUI, but crashes P3D V4 when I try to load it up.

Interesting. Do the engines start up like piston engines? Pretty sure in the 35A they did, and I don't like that.

Does your pitch trim click when in motion? How can you stop the noise - it’s driving me crazy!

thanks

I believe that's normal

All Falcons generate that noise from the cockpit speaker whenever the pitch trim is activated. If you watch YouTube cockpit videos of Falcon 50s or 900s you will hear it clearly.

The trim gauge is on the center console, and not particularly easy to visually monitor during a high-workload scenario like takeoff and initial climb, when the pilot will be trimming almost continuously if hand flying. The sound is a way of confirming that the horizontal stabilizer is in motion.

It's a really annoying feature. IF there a need for a trim sound, the MD80 way would be much less annoying. (Sounds only after a prolonged trim input)

On no airplane you need to look at the trim gauge except when setting the trim for takeoff and definitely not in a high workload situation.

Btw, the single center T/R shouldn't be very effective except in producing a lot of noise 😉
