Someone will add paint and scratches to the VC ala their Lear35.

Hmm won't start. One thing that I don't like about the switches is that they don't tell you if they are on or off (and there is no tool tip to help). Also does turning them on not engage the green light or is that just a function of the instrument lights being on or off.? So is the XFR and booster pump on  in the 'up' position?  Ive done all variants just in case including the center bus tie being horizontal (I take it to the two other bus ties are the same?).

I'm actually having to hold off on any new PC or FS purchases for a while.  I'm transferring to another facility and we're saving up to buy a home (again ha)... I don't believe I'll have my PC setup in our temporary housing.  I may not be simming for quite some time!  I'll be monitoring the forums here for all the new amazing addons and to keep up with people!

No, the other two bus ties need to be vertical. Sorry about that, I forgot to mention them.

If your electrical system is configured correctly, when you press the APU master button, it will illuminate in green. You would then press the GEN button, which will illuminate in white. You can then press the START button. That button will illuminate until the APU is fully up to speed, at which point it will go off. Once the APU is fully started, the generator will come online automatically. To determine if the APU is indeed powering the buses, check the two voltmeters on the overhead panel. On battery power, they will read 24 volts. When the APU generator kicks in, they will rise to 28 volts.

If you are absolutely sure that all your bus tie switches are set correctly (center bus tie horizontal, outboard bus ties vertical), and the APU master switch will not light up when pressed, there may be a problem with your installation. 

The #2 boost and #2 transfer switches should both be up. On the real aircraft, if you don’t turn the boost pump on, the APU might start anyway, (or it might not). The APU fuel pump can draw fuel from the number 2 tank by suction, but it really should be supplied with fuel under pressure by the upstream boost pump.

With inadequate fuel supply, the APU starter will spin up, but the unit will never light off (no EGT), or it might start initially, but then shutdown after a few moments.

In any case, the boost pump will have no effect on the APU control panel. If it won’t illuminate, you have an electrical issue.

The way to determine fuel pump status is to check the master warning panel. When a pump is on, and producing pressure, the associated annunciatior on the warning panel will go dark.

Here’s hoping your new home has less static electricity than your old one! I recall that you were once battling computer problems caused by static “zaps”
