Recommended Posts

Is there a list of all 3rd perty addon aircraft that supports the RXP products in the panel on P3D v4?  I am ready to buy but finding it difficult finding this support listing.  Thanks.

I still fly FSX so cannot directly comment on P3D, but in following all topics here I am not aware of any significant aircraft where RXP GPS models work in FSX but do not work in P3D.  Other users please correct me if I am not correct.

The RXP GTN series, and the RXP GNSv2 series both post-date the release of most aircraft in popular use, so in many cases aircraft model developers would need to update their products to provide direct support.  Few have done so. In fact, a few never update their products once released. Some are no longer developing, others are concentrating on new models.  For P3D thwy made the necessary adjustments for P3D compliance and that's about it.  Milviz for one has provided model updates as well as  some support for some GPS models from multiple GPS developers..

Another reason developers have not provided direct RXP support is that they did at the time of their products releases provide support for other make GPS models.  They witness that users find it relatively easy to use the RXP Setup options, which are added as an option to the simulator's Add Ons menu during installation.  Those options identify makes and models of GPS gauges installed in the currently loaded aircraft, including default GPS gauges built in by the developer.  Setup then allows the user to replace those with RXP gauges.  Developers also see a great deal of user-to-user support, so they just devote their development resources elsewhere.

Click to open the window immediately below to see the wide variety of developer models in which I have operating RXP GPS gauges in FSX.

PM me for details - basically if an addon supports another vendor's GTN 750/650 - it will work with RXP's.

Ryan - Before I buy I wanted to make sure that it would work intgrated in the panel in A/C on P3D since that's all I fly.  Do you know of a list of A/C that RXP wouldl work with? Thanks much.

I am not aware of such a list.

I'll try to elaborate a bit later.

Good idea Bert!

I only own A2A aircrafts:

C172: compatible with RXP GNS 430 and 530

C182: compatible with RXP GNS 430 and 530

Bonanza: compatible with RXP GTN 650 and 750, and GNS 430 and 530

When I say compatible, that is for all those aircrafts, there are an A2A configurator that does all the work automatically. So no need to edit files manually.

And the GPS work in 3D in the virtual cockpits.

Thanks.  For example, any of the Coronado A/C in P3D v4.  Will it work in the instrument panel.  Thanks.

It works very well in the new Flysimware Falcon 50. A config management program is included with the aircraft to choose either single or dual installation of the RXP GTN 750 or 650 into the center console. The unit is also available as a 2D pop up when installed.

The more recent Carenado offerings will indicate GTN750 support.

Examples: PC12, F50, S550 etc.

The f1 GTN750 can be replaced by an RXP GTN750 if that is what you are buying.

I was looking at the Turbo Commander (I love that plane and it has special signifance to me from my student days), but the PC12 is good too.  I wished it worked on the TC too.  Thanks much for this.

As Bert said "The f1 GTN750 can be replaced by an RXP GTN750"

The TC description says F1 GTN750.
