Beta 3.4 Sounds

Recommended Posts

Is there a specific thread that lists all the fixes and updates per each new beta version? I have 3.4 now but it would be nice to see the list of each update if possible. Otherwise I'm constantly uninstalling and reinstalling the new versions.

When you receive the Email notification for new update, there is the list of updates.

Here is the summary after putting all together:

BETA 3.8 UPDATES:
1. APU requires battery on to start.
2. Copilot TO/FROM flag fixed.
3. Thanks to Jim Barrett we now have realistic pilot window sounds.

BETA 3.7 UPDATES:
1. New tooltip for GPU. Help remind you that the generators need to be off.
2. Trim volume starts at 3000 and not 4000 volume.
3. The hydraulic update fron beta 3.6 had a small mistake and eng 1 & 2 off showed pressure. Fixed.
4. P3D V4 and using the RXP 650 or 750 missing sounds issue fixed.
5. Overspeed sounds updated to match the new update from beta 3.6. (Under 5K 350KIAS alerts a sound and above 5K to 10K 370KIAS alerts a sound.)
6. The black trim panel now has better textures. Also the backup ADI and AOA.
7. Sperry gauges white trim is brighter to match the Alitude Set gauge.

With engine 3 off and STBY on you get 2K PSI up to 60 seconds or the ST.PMP light will illuminate warning you to turn it off. With ENG 3 off and STBY in auto deploy spoiler to auto enable standy for up to 60 seconds or light illumintes warning you to turn it off. Flaps also use auto but should not illuminate as there is no contimues operation more than 60 seconds.

Nice, great that Mark and FSW opened the Falcon to Beta testing to whoever wanted to jump in, this community has some real experts that add so much to getting this birds just a little closer to the real thing. Anxiously waiting the "Official"  release, had to hold off because of limited ISP download, but looks like it's getting close :-)

Cheers

Martin

Hi Folks,

The way Mark rolls through bug lists - perhaps Raid should hire him ?

I want to add here that this open beta is not the same as the dreaded "early access" mode. The beta is a full featured product and its success relies on  a wide net of motivated users to catch bugs.

Yes indeed! And when bugs are discovered, a "fix" is released almost immediately. Flysimware's customer support is outstanding. RXP's philosophy is very similar. These are two developers who have certainly gained my respect.

It's funny that you mention that we rely on the users to catch bugs. My tech/pilot/friend and i spent 2 months looking for bugs and yet we both knew with all the testing we did as it seemed we found all the bugs we knew that it's impossible to catch everything when it comes to software. All software needs updates. So i found it's best to get as much as we could corrected then only market the product as a beta so the ones who do buy it will not be upset that it's not perfect and they might want to help report bugs. And they do! 😂 And it blows me away every time that when some of the bugs are reported or requests for better performance i find that they found something we missed. These sim planes are like real planes and need a ton of testing. So i want to thanks everyone that has helped!

Hi Mark,

And on the flip side - it's so refreshing to have a developer - who cares deeply about their product - who obviously wants to do it right - who pays close attention to the details - who takes the time to have an interactive and meaningful dialog with their customers - and reacts almost instantly to correct issues - it's very rare today indeed... I'm sure this has been an intense few weeks for you... Given our previous experiences with Flysimware - this is why most of us have absolutely no concern over purchasing a 1.0 Beta from you - we know - eventually - it will be made right...

Regards,
Scott
