Is there a fix for the sound issue?

I have a hard time understanding how their beta testers missed this

I can assure you, the sound always worked correctly on my system, and still does.  Does that help in your understanding?

I have updated to V4.4 by installing first the client, then content an last the scenery. After this I went thru the ORBX re-install as recommended in another thread an I notice a smoother behaviour of P3D.

I have Orbx Global, trees and EU plus GEN and GES. AS16 for weather running and also UT-Live, Add-ons are Aerosoft EDDH, EDHI, EDDF, EDDT, EDDS, EDDK and t2g EDDM. U only use Jeehell FMGS A320. All add-on settings I left the same as before the update, but I set Scenerydetail and autogen vegetation to very dense + texture res. 7 cm. All those were one step lower in V4.3. My framerate is limited to 27 with vsinc on + triple buffering. With this setup I had no stutters at all on my I78086K, HT disabled but overclocked to 5 GHz, M2-SSD, G-Force 1070ti.

What I've seen is weird but welcome: Best testing facility for my setup is AS EDDF, because only at this airport I´ve had stutters if I put the Frame rate limit higher then 30. Now at EDDF I've noticed that the frames drops down to 18-20, 22, 24 and up to the limit of 27, but no stutters at all.:ohmy: I´ve tested this on ground while taxi and on approach. There was no stuttering that you could notice, even not if the frames droped down to 18/sec. The scenery went by very smooth and even longframes didn´t appear.

Don´t ask my why, but it seems for some reason the overall dataflow (loading tex, computing physics, send data to GPU etc.) works a little more optimized.

Just posted in the LM forums. The post if from  username "Symbol" who post the fix as this:

You can fix this yourself by either:

A) Changing your sound device output to 24bit

or

B) Adding this entry to your Prepard3d.cfg file:

[sound]
time_constant=0

I haven't tried it yet since I haven't noticed the issue on my sim, but I know everyone is anxious for the fix so I thought I'd post it here.

Come on! Are we trying to be vague here? Be specific, informative. What is this about?

What more specific information do you want? Some people are experiencing sounds issues with P3D 4.4, if you do, you can implement the fixes explained here.

I will try the fix, since i have sound issue that manifests as if engines spool up  every time i switch views. And since my sound settings are on 24 bit will try adding the line in p3d.cfg

because this eleminated the stutters on my machine. I remember that i´ve read somewhere from Rob, that the v-sync option in p3d is not comparable to those in other games like 3d-shooters etc. And he sugested to turn that on anyway. And, i can´t even notice any difference if v-sync is on or not. And Rob said, to find the framerate where the sim runs smooth and then turn down 2 to 3 Frames.

So in very highdensed Airports like eddf my framerate became stutterless at 30 and so i put that at 27. And yeah, Bingo that works very well. absolute smooth moving. I Always look at the green and blue taxiwaylights passing the screenboarder, because there u can even notice very litle microstutters. Those are disapeared with my Settings.
