Cannot load PMDG Aircraft

Recommended Posts

What am I missing?

I did a complete re-install of windows 10 and cleaned my PC

I downloaded and installed P3D V4.4

Downloaded PMDG 737 & 777

Installed both aircraft

I can open P3D with any aircraft, however when I try to open either  PMDG aircraft from the start or after loading another default aircraft I get a black screen and P3D not responding.

I have uninstalled and re-installed P3D and the PMDG aircraft (using admin)

I have completed the updates from the Operations Centre (using admin)

I have deleted the dll.xml file and let it create a new one.

The only problem I cannot resolve is that the only SDK that will not install is SP1 it keeps coming up with an error and not installing, it shows a token number or something.  I have all the other SDKs installed.

This is a complete fresh install of P3D on a fresh PC after a full restore...

What am I missing?

Any help appreciated

How long have you been waiting before you stopped it? I did a complete reinstall yesterday for 4.4 and had that black screen too for 30-40 seconds during the first loading but then it worked.

Thanks for the replies

I have left the screen for about 5 minutes on a few occasions.  I did note that the not responding disappeared from the title bar but it reappeared.

No I did not get any errors whilst installing the aircraft at any time all installations were successful.

I do appreciate the help.

Sorry another issue which I now suspect may be causing the problem.

P3D is on a separate drive (drive D:)

However the dll.xml file was placed in programdata.....  on the C drive

I changed the paths to full paths to the PMDG dll files within dll.xml but alas this has had no effect.

Might this be the problem?

dll.xml is correctly placed on the programdata. You shloudn't have chnaged anything there. I suggest to open a support ticket to check some logs which can be don only through support ticket.

This has been resolved NOT a PMDG issue.

I used the Windows 10 reset feature to REMOVE ALL FILES FROM ALL DRIVES.

The simconnect.cfg remained from an old installation within the documents folder which messed up simconnect, - thanks microsoft

But most importantly thanks to PMDG staff who worked with me until the matter was resolved.

Thanks
