Can I Sell My Carenado Planes?

I bought a bunch of Carenado planes and while I'm sure they are great for 90% of the market, I am underwhelmed. Is it possible for me to sell my licenses to another member?

I highly doubt it.

Typically software licenses are sold to the individual who has purchased them. They may not be sold, re-distributed or shared in any way or form.

You would typically find this information in the EULA (End-User-License-Agreement).

I do not think that is possible.  Software licenses are typically sold to one individual, usually linked to their email address, and may not be re-sold.

I agree with the two answers above, however, I thought in the EU there are some government regulations that allow such transactions regardless of the policy of the company you purchased from.  Not an expert on this so do some research if you live in the EU.  Otherwise, chalk it up to experience just like the rest of us have all done with various flight sim purchases over the years.

I know software can be resold as long as their is a physical license attached to it. Ill look into it some more. The payware market is really bad. I just wish that Laminar and marketplaces would hold the vendors more accountable. Most of these planes are literally vaporware.

Very few if any payware "licences" are transferrable.

Why would a developer want the likes of yourself trading in their products when there is no

reward to them for creating the product in the first place.

99.9% of all licences point out that you do not own the product, you are only licenced to use it,

that's why they are called licences and not proofs of ownership.

You cannot therefore lawfully sell something that is not yours to sell without the permission of its owner

which you expressly do not have.

Certain developers should be careful as well though, they aren't exactly selling what the description says nor providing support. Buying a license is fine but when you purchase a software license support is an assumed part of cost. Not telling people, sorry we have other priorities thanks for the 50 bucks.

I buy all my Carendo titles at discount during the annual sale.  That way I'm not as disappointed although I research them quite a bit before purchasing so I know what I'm getting.  And there are usually plenty of mods and repaints posted here to keep them interesting.

Working for a couple developers myself I know it is very difficult to even entertain the notion of a refund let alone a resale of something intangible like downloaded software.

If you bought from a company in the EU, maybe.  If you bought from a company in the US or South America, no.  The EU has no jurisdiction and never will.
