Just upgraded from the GNS 530 to the GTN 750....

Hi Todd, weather icon is available when the GTN gets connected to weather data sources. Therefore the grayed icon means there are no source data available. This is expected.

Thanks Jean-Luc.  That's what i assumed but just wanted to verify I wasn't missing anything.  It would be cool if a connection could be made to AS!  😉

Not sure about the sim, but in the real world yes, if you have something like the GFC500/600 installed it will do a VNAV descent.
