Monster Case? Or Monstrosity?

Recommended Posts

You have to admit you've probably never seen anything like this.

On the one had, its uniqueness attracts me.

On the other hand, it's so over the top that it borders on ostentatious.....

Probably would go well with those glitzy ram sticks I posted about.

Hmmmmmmm........ 🤨

Yuk! Yuk! Yuk! Horrible.

Now my Phanteks Evolv TG is actually even more gorgeous than I am. Hard to believe I know. And the new EvolvX even lovelier.

If I had that case I would smash it with a sledge hammer...  no, I wouldn't, I would blow it up with Semtex.

meh... i've done some "computer as furniture", building a server into an antique sewing machine case to blend into my house. but i just never evolved to "computer as ornament" perspective.

some of these unusual case designs offer functional benefits such as additional cooling, etc.

I want you to know, I have changed my mind. No Semtex. I would melt the plastic, and then cut the metal bits up with a plasma torch... then use thermite.

But... But.... It breathes!!! Look at those panels moving in and out.... How cool is that?!

That case is hideous! 😣

I dont think its actually ugly as such: I appreciate the creativity and risk taking, and in this instance its not much different than an impractical concept car.

That's my issue with it, if anything. It doesn't seem like a practical working case that I would enjoy fiddling in.

On the other hand, I would enjoy visitors going "What the hell is that? Is that a computer!?" 🤩

GRRRRRRRRRR... I'm getting annoyed now, time for real destruction. I would line up the monstrosity, the Star Ship Enterprise PC too (despite being a crazy science fiction fan) and then with my "Higgs Field Disruptor" (HFD for short) I invented in my garden shed, I would shield the said monstrosities from the Higgs field and then laugh my socks off as the the gluon's that hold the pile of **** together instantly accelerated to light speed in all directions. Then I would laugh like an evil super villain.

P.S. A concept car is beautiful, these guys aren't, just saying. And don't mention subjective opinion or more evil inventions WILL follow.

Whilst they lack the style (???) of the Deepcool case, these two would give it a run for its money for the monstrosity award:

Well I agree. The first one is just gratuitously ugly. The second one on the other hand actually has a reason for looking like that

But still looks to me as though it was designed by a committee!

And the reason is... to encourage me to come up with a new creative way to destroy it.

Of course, at least the case above is an obvious one-off joke, never to be repeated and certainly not for general consumers.

On the other hand, the $5000 case below is an actual product, for sale from Asus.
