P3Dv4.4 Upgrade Activities

Hello,

After a period of observations, I'm planning to upgrade v4.3 -> v4.4 . I am aware of the need to delete prepar3d.cfg & the Shaders folder as part of the process, but have also read recommendations to backup up both scenery.cfg & dll.xml. For whatever reason, I see a few instances of these files in my environment, so hoping someone can point me to the 'official' location of these files. I see some in the Appdata folder structure, others in ProgramData, so just trying to nail down exactly which is the official/live location.

If you use Lorby-SI's (free) P3D Addon Manager, the backup feature takes a snapshot of the important configuration files and zips them up for you in one click.

There are several dll.xml and exe.xml files in two different folders that are both used by P3D, and a host of other files (scenery.cfg, terrain.cfg, controls.xml etc) that might be handy to have post-update.  The Update Manager will do all that for you.
