Train Sim World: Northern Trans-Pennine: Manchester - Leeds

Featured Replies

Well. we have another one!

Honestly, rollout of TSW sceneries have been really anemic-seeming to me recently, with none of the pre-launch advertising prowess that DTG used to bring to the table.

It makes me wonder how badly hurt they were by the failure of FSW.

However! At least routes are forthcoming, and now another one has been rather quietly released. This time it's the Northern Trans-Pennine route (Huddersfield Line) built between Manchester Victoria and Leeds City, and as always, you can grab it from Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/577353/Train_Sim_World_Northern_TransPennine_Manchester__Leeds_Route_AddOn/

It was just released today, and some eagar Youtubers have already taken a look:

Not sure it's quite my cup of tea, but I will keep an eye on it.

The graphics are amazing but I find the TSW actual 'world' dull and lifeless. Its a pity they don't invest more to bring it to life with some traffic on roads, birds, animals in fields, station announcements etc. It has great potential but at 38 Swiss Francs a pop (about 38 USD), its pricey to buy the add-ons unless one is a real train nut. I have 2 addons apart from the base pack and whilst decent enough, I rarely go back.
