HAAB scenery glitches

Recommended Posts

Hello. I downloaded HAAB Addis Ababa Bole Int'l Airport by Ladhani Ramesh from the library and installed it in my addon scenery folder Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/Common/FSX/Addon Scenery/Scenery and it worked fine for about a month until today. I'm parked at Gate 2 and the airport starts glitching such as the taxiways disappearing and the airport being submerged in this big tan blob. I saw in the description it was originally for FS9 and it was converted to FSX. I was just wondering is it a problem with the scenery or with the simulator? I am using FSX SE

Much of the FS9 scenery is not fully compatible as it uses DX9 technology and FSX uses DX10 technology.

Also I had the descriptions mixed up. The description did not say converted to FS9 that was another scenery for Bole on the library.

I have the steam addon HD Airport Graphics. Is it possible that addon could be messing with my scenery from avsim?

Update: After restarting FSX, the airport isn't glitching anymore. So I guess it just needed a restart. Thank you for your time.

When installing scenery, there could be glitches because of the location of the scenery in the FSX scenery.cfg.  Airports should be located near the top so make sure the Addon Scenery folder is near the top of your scenery.cfg.  Glad you got this problem fixed.
