And quite a nice servicepack too! Even integration with REX Skyforce clouds is added. Thanks TOGA!

That sounds promising. Maybe I'll wait for EnShade to be ready before I'll do my texture TOGA enhancements.

Does this mean Envtex clouds will now be injected dynamically via ASCA? This was a known limitation up to now

I had to reinstall (without uninstall) a second time to get it to be displayed as activated.

I've downloaded it because I already had the previous version, but I use ENVSHADE. Does that include ENVTEXT, or do I install the latter as well? I don't remember how it works now. 😞

Hi Pete,

Yes - their naming convention is a little confusing - they have ENVSHADE which is a shader package similar to PTA... They have ENVTEX and it’s a complete texture package - which is what we are talking about here... Then they have ENVDIR that’s just some sort of wrapper that manages them both... So - yes - if you have ENVSHADE - you proabably still want to load the ENVTEX update...

Scott

Hi,

Not much luck with this update, D/L all 6 files from Simmarket, uninstalled and installed the Package, used the Envdir and when clicking on the ?

it still shows Envtx 1.1.6 and not 1.2.0. Made all the changes (folders, etc) and now P3D V4.4 will not even start up. Unless I have corrupt d/l files

not sure what could be wrong.

Any Ideas??

Thanks

I would love to see the release of a video with these new enhancements.

I'm very interested in seeing how the new clouds & sky textures look with ASCA in dynamic mode.

I've struggled each time I've installed this. Gonna try the new version anyway as I'm intrigued by a integration with ASCA.

Not picking on anyone but I don't think English is their documentation dude/dudette's first language. The posts on their forums are classic. Or, it could just be they're not good at explaining things.

Anyway, I'm trying it out and will report back.

Back:

I uninstalled both Envshade and Envtex.

Installed Envshade and its patch. Installed Envtex. Envtex ran a updater after it finished. The updater then checked Envshade and asked if I wanted to apply the patch.

I answered yes to the Envshade update/patch 2 or 3x and it did 'something'. Finally, it finished up and closed the installer.

I started Envdir and configured. There is a toggle to integrate ASCA.

I started ASP4 and P3D. P3D asked to enable TOGA (can't recall the exact text) and I did.

It seemed to be working. I find it's really hard for me to detect changes unless I make a real effort to reproduce the same environment (which I didn't do). It looked good and I didn't notice any performance hit. The sky and sun did look nicer (so I think it is working.)
