B744 ACARS suddenly INOP

I'm actually not really sure where anybody made the assertion that the feature was removed. He simply asked if the -400 was capable of doing this, and I only confirmed that I had never seen it since the initial release of ACARS functionality. I don't know how often he flies the -400, but I fly it fairly frequently compared to the -8.

Ditto Kevin.... we never had preflight comms in the -400.  Section 5.34 in the FCOM is basically how PMDG modeled their product, uplinks available for RTE, Winds and Descent Forecast.

James' post made an implication that it was missing, as he said he was unable to do it, as if he should have.

No, I just wondered if it should have been present and I did something wrong or if it's a feature not present on the -400, only on the -8...
