New Nvidia driver - accessoires???

Recommended Posts

Hello,

When installing a new NVidia videoa driver, it asks me to install also 3D Vision controller driver, stereoscopic 3D driver, along with HD Audio driver.

Do i need these 😀 ?

I do not install the experience thing...

That´s an interesting question. I never install the GeForce Experience, nor the HD Audio driver. I use to install all the rest using a clean installation.

Cheers, Ed

You don't need the 3D driver unless you're specifically using it for 3D viewing (highly unlikely). You only need the HD audio driver if you're sending audio to your TV/monitor through an HDMI cable.

Thanks, will keep that in mind for the next update ...

If all you're doing is flightsimming then all you probably need is the driver.  I use NVSlimmer to strip away everything except the video drivers from nVidia driver bloatware.  It's a Beta but works great... strips down those 500+MB nVidia installers to something closer to 300MB.  The best part is completely nuking the telemetry nVidia wants to install on our computers... as if the prices they charge aren't offensive enough, they also want to collect and sell data about their customers!

More info and a download link: https://www.majorgeeks.com/content/page/remove_bloatware_from_your_nvidia_driver_package_with_nvslimmer.html

Greg
