Very loud case fans after overclock

I have overclocked my 8700K to 4.8 after completing a delid.  The cooler is a Corsair H115i.  Temps while running the sim seem very good to me....mostly in the high 40's to mid 50's with the occasional push to the lost 60's before dropping back down.  The problem is my case fans and going full tilt and the case is very noisy.  I don't think the temps are that bad and i would like to have a quieter computer.  MB is Gigabyte and I an not sure how to control the fan speeds to reduce the noise.  Any ideas?"

Have you looked into the bios at fan profiles?

It is also likely that Gigabyte provides a fan tuning utility with their MB software tools.  You might see if you have their suite of tools loaded and look for a fan tuning module. 

Just a thought... I've never owned a Gigabyte MB, but ASUS provides these types of tools with their MBs.

The Corsair fans included with their all in one coolers are ridiculously loud as well. They will be better once tuned, but still not very good noise wise.

Well set up a fan curve then! 😀 Either dive into the BIOS and set the fan curve up from there, or use the software that came with your motherboard. 

Which case do you have? Presumably it came with PWM fans? Although DC fans can be controlled by motherboards too these days. Does your case have it's own fan controller?

Which Gigabyte motherboard? Gigabyte motherboards usually have a uitility calaed Smart Fan 5.

I have a Gigabyte Aorus 5 board.  The case is a Corsair 750D.  I have gone into the BIOS and selected a fan profile but clearly its not the right one.  I have also got the Corsair Link software which will do profiles of the cooling but seems to not be able to control the case fans just the water cooler fan.

Your board comes with smart fan 5. Download the latest version Mark. 

What may have happened with your BIOS fan profile is that the fans are DC and the BIOS was set to PWM, or vice versa. So check if the fans in your case are PWM or DC. Smart Fan 5 should make it easier for you to sort it out.
