FSX-SE Cessna 195 Float in Stewart, British Columbia

Stewart is a picturesque coastal town in British Columbia located at the head of the Portland Canal. This Canal was first discovered by explorer George Vancouver, after whom the Vancouver Island and the city of Vancouver are named. The town itself was named after one of the Stewart Brothers, who were among the earliest settlers of the town.

This flight tracks (roadway) BC-37A, the Glacier Hwy, (per Orbx's rendition and also visible in a few shots below) eastward along the narrow mountainous valley (if interested, please see BC Road Map or/and Orbx Map of PFJ coverage) from the Stewart SPB (CAC9) - past the picturesque Bear Glacier Provincial Park to the Meziadin Lake, which is a beautiful mountain lake, surrounded by forests, situated 40 miles east of Stewart. Per travel notes, "This segment of the road-trip on Hwy 37, is absolutely incredible. Hwy 37A takes one to a viewpoint of the Bear Glacier where one can actually watch nature in motion as the glaciers melt. There is also plenty of wildlife viewing along Hwy 37A with bears, bald eagles and spawning salmon being seen throughout the year." The Bear Glacier can be seen in one of the screenshots. Oh these brave people of the north! Staying out in light clothes and reading the news is best done in winter (I assume that there's even less light inside the shed). However, these are great pictures of a great location!

Thanks, Harald! We guess the "real" natives would surely (be smart enough to) behave differently than in this scenery....🙂....

Just as, in this nature, the butterfly that kept coming to my Cub's window at a fixed frequency in one scenery and the trees that swung back and forth near the runway- also at a fixed frequency...Oh, well, this is better than no animation at all...
