You don’t really understand how digital displays work do you? You might think you’re seeing 4096 pixels but you’re not. Check this guide...

GIven you only intend to run at 1920*1080 and not UHD I think it will be a decent card for you. I would also suggest you look at the i7-8700K or even the i7-8086K if that is still available. Both are excellent CPUs that will transform your enjoyment of P3D. 16Gb of RAM is also fine. I went with 32Gb for future-proofing but there's no guarantee I'll ever need it.

With P3D v4.4 it now utilises all the virtual cores helping to spread the work load. The key to a good system is balance. No point having a Premier League goalkeeper with a League 1 centre-forward.

Hmmm.. not sure it is about 2 years old.  I paid $6k for it.  It's an LG.  If it didn't support 4096x2160 then I wouldn't be able to select it in windows or P3D.

LG are the only company making OLED panels. I know that because my own by Loewe also has a LG panel. Whilst they make various sizes the only resolution is 3840*2160. Of course if you could name the model it would clear everything up.

I wonder if it’s the B6. That was released two years ago but as you can see on this post the owner is confused by the 4096 setting.

Did you notice the resolution is 3840*2160. You forcing it to display 4096*2160 is achieving nothing and actually making the PQ worse.
