Clicking sound often indicates you are approaching stall.

Hi Folks,

I don't have this one - but when the trim is in motion in the real deal - there is a very noticeable clicking sound unique to the Falcons...

Regards,
Scott

No it's not that,,, this is sort of an irregular clicking sound... maybe five or six clicks then a gap of a couple of seconds then another five or six clicks then maybe a gap a dozen seconds the a couple of click... and it's through the whole speed range right up to over speed.  I must say it could well be an auto trim, I just don't know what it is.

On the Fly Sim Ware Falcon, there's a little utility whereby you can drop the volume of that trim click, but in the absence of that option, if there is no similar facility with the Carenado one, it would be simple enough to open up the click sound file in an audio editor and drop the volume and save it. Not quite as convenient, but it'd only take a minute to do.

I'm ok with the sound, I just wanted to know what the cause was and if it needed attending to. So if it is auto trim so be it.

In a Falcon you will hear that sound any time the pitch trim is in motion - either manually or under autopilot control.

Sorry for the post above, but it was not possible to insert a text after I wrote @ ... The cursor stuck on the name.

So, as I understand Jim Barret: In the real Falcon I also hear this sound when the AP is moving the pitch trim, is this right?

Yes, In the real aircraft, it sounds whenever the HSTAB trim is moving, either when the pilot activates the trim switch on the yoke, or when the autopilot is engaged and automatically retrimming during pitch changes.
