Updating airports.xml files Questions

Recommended Posts

dear kiek,

thanks for providing this great tool which increase the reality in prepar 3d a lot.

i have now first expieriences with updating the airport.xml files automatically by your program or manually.

i update eddt.xml and some other german and autrian airports according flightplans from their website, because not all airports can be updated automatically due to misssing transponder signal after landing.

i have some questions

1. the time in the option is utc or the actual time?

2. what we do in summer time, update all the files again?

3. what i have to enter, if a flight arrives at 22:30 german time and leave at the next morning at 6:30 (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,22,23)?

many thanks for a short answer

best regards

oliver

1. UTC (as described in the Manual)

2. If you want to be that precise: yes. Then you have to keep two sets of files up to date. However, do know that there are also other things not yet perfect such as differences in weekdays vs  the weekend...

3. Yes, and add 7 as well  (assuming the aircraft stayes at the gate overnight)
