Instant acceleraton on default. Why?

Recommended Posts

Whenever I start P3d, my default plane (whatever it is) accelerates rapidly, and I have to throttle up and down quickly on my joystick.  This calms it down.  I've tried saving my default setup even in a "cold and dark" scenario, but as soon as I start the engines, it revs up....and thus requires a quick throttle up and down to calm it.

Does this happen to you when you start the sim?  If you have an answer for this, I would appreciate it greatly.  I just want to start the sim, and have a plane that is "un-reved".

Are you running SimStarter? I had this behavior running the app and after removing it, all worked normally.

Cheers,

Actually using the Milviz 310 as default aircraft.  Didn't think I had to load a default aircraft in P3d.   Thought that was an FSX thing only.  Will try a default aircraft to see if it still happens.

Yeah, I've seen this behaviour too but if I recall correctly only with the A2A spitfire.

By the time I get it under control usually the aircraft is about 30 degrees of the runway center line. Very annoying!

With the complexities of many new aircraft, it's a really good idea. Personally, I start with the default cub and have had no problems. Takes a few seconds to switch after loading and saves time in the long run.

Tried the default Maule and still had same problem.  Will continue with other aircraft.  Will try the cub.

Did you configure the 310 in MVAMS to load "cold & dark" ?

If it keeps happening, I'd look closely at your controller setups.

Umm.  The controller itself.   That's an area I didn't look at.  Thanks.

I have the same problem, with most aircraft. Occasionally I don't have a problem, but almost always with the Grand Caravan. I haven't loaded the cub first but will try tomorrow. Glad to be part of this discussion!

This happens to me with all A2A aircraft.

This does happen in older turbo aircraft made for FSX. The Quest Kodiak comes to mind. There is/was a bug in the FSX logic that would affect certain turbo a/c.

I am experiencing the engine acceleration also. It doesn't matter which aircraft, it occurs with all of them default or payware. Cycling through views "S" does this for a second or two.
