Phenom 300 setting Landing Field Elevation(LFE)

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow Phenom 300 simmers,

Can someone please enlighten me on the relevance/importance of setting the destination Landing Field Elevation( LFE),  the TDZE , in the MFD when going through the checklist.

Does setting LFE make a difference if I am always connecting to ActiveSky (OR following ATC instructions) to get weather/ setting altimeter info along the route and I use select TMR /REF in the PFD and set minimum Radar Altimeter(RA) set to 200  to alert me when I am 200 ft of the terrain on approach.?

Just trying to understand.. Thanks

Best Regards

Hari

Setting the landing field elevation enables the pressurization controller to properly manage the cabin pressure so that the cabin is fully matched to the local air pressure upon landing.
