Lazy Eye (Amblyopia) and Virtual Reality

Recommended Posts

With my new 2080Ti VC I'm thinking about to try out VR (Oculus Rift?). Would it be worth the investment? I should add that I'm visually handicapped (Amblyopia - left eye only 12% of norm). I have no vision problems in daily life (drivers license etc.) but "real" stereoscopic vision is not possible. I found some information (Reddit) that VR would be no big problem but maybe others here know more about it.

Is there any guide for best usage of VR (which system?) with P3Dv4

Any experiences, suggestions/advises are welcome.

VR is not simply about stereoscopic vision.

Think about this way:

When you stand in a room, you don't perceive depth like the rest of us. But you perceive the proportions like everybody else does.

VR enables you to be in that room instead of just staring at an image of a room on a monitor.

I have a nephew with a false eye from an accident, and he was stunned when he tried Vr.
