FMC loaded an NGX flight plan

Recommended Posts

In this screenshot you can see the 747-8 CDU.

See the route?  It's KSAN to KSTS.

I had made a flight in the NGX and this was the city pair.

So when I finished the flight I shut down P3D 4.4 and rebooted the PC.

I then loaded the 747-8 and was going to set up a route from KATL to KMCO but look what I got.

I went to the PMDG flight plan folder for the 747 and not one PFPX flight plan.  But this one was in the NGX flight plan folder.

So how in the world did the 747-8 get this NGX flight plan?

All I could do was take a flight plan I created in PFPX for the 747 and load it via COROUTE.  Then I had the route.

Thanks

You can access any flight plan loaded in PMDG/FLIGHTPLANS folder, including those created for NGX. Introduction document page 00.00.165. Possibly it was loaded by accident.

Thanks Jim, you mean the sim loaded it by accident?  I know I didn't because as soon as I hit the route button there it was, I had just loaded the 747 not a minute before.

In my P3D / PMDG / Flightplans  folder, I have 3 subfolders... 747, 777 and NGX.

Could it be that you saved  a NGX flightplan into the wrong subdirectory ?

Hi Dick, that’s the first thing I thought of too.  The NGX plan was in the proper sub-folder and the 777 and 747 had no flightplans in them.

What the main RTE pages was showing? With the pages you show unfortunately no conclusions can be made

Yes.

What panel state are you using to load the plane?

I might be wrong.

But I don't think it makes any difference. A route is a route. Its just a series of waypoints joining a departure and arrival airport. You should in theory be able to use the same route for the 737NG, 777, 747,

Engines running.

This is after Kyle a couple of weeks ago told me to remove all panel states from the folder where they're stored.  So it's not an old one, it's post update.

If that was not the route you wanted. Log into the ACARS correctly using Departure and Arrival ICAO codes Flight number You would then be presented with flight plans for that city pair :)

Thanks Andy but the only choice I had was to load a COROUTE.  That worked.

Go to {SIM}\PMDG\PMDG 747 folder and open the options.ini file. What do you have under the Panel state entry?
