I now have visible AI with aircraft shadows on. Fixed?

Featured Replies

As an FS user for many years (I'm 72), I have been running FSX-SE for the last few years.

I have resigned myself to flying with aircraft shadows turned off, since switching them on results in AI aircraft disappearing.

Fired up the simulator today, and lo and behold I now have AI aircraft at my airports with my aircraft shadows turned on.

Has Steam fixed this problem?

Could anyone confirm or otherwise, please?

Are you using DirectX 9 instead of DirectX 10 Preview Mode?  I myself have not experienced AI aircrafts not showing up with shadows but I primarily use FSX:SE.  Steve's DX10 Fixer is known to fix shadows and many Preview Mode issues if you happen to be using it.  Just a couple of ideas - others may know better.
