Addon organizer - Exception issue

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Since I've installed the latest version today (1.39b10) I'm receiving an exception each time I'm trying to modify a group which tells me "The list zone has too many elements". Thus I can't modify any group anymore.

Any idea?

Below is the full error message.

UPDATE: Sorry, it does not seem to come from P4AO, for some reason one file got corrupted. That's weird as I did not install anything.
Any idea about what file could cause this so I can find the culprit?

Thanks 🙂

You seem to have a circular reference somewhere. A group referencing a second group which is referencing the first group. Or a circular reference in the sceneries. Impossible to tell without looking at your files.

P4AO should catch a situation like that, but maybe that mechanism is broken somehow.

When exactly do you get that exception window?

Best regards

Hi Oliver 🙂

The exception window appear just after clicking the edit group button.
Restoring a previous backup solved the issue, what is weird is that no change was made between this backup and the time this exception appeared.

(By the way, is there a changelog for b10? I had b06 before but couldn't find any change notes, not really important but I always like to check what's new 🙂 )

Nothing in the code of that dialog suggests that an endless loop would be even possible. To find out what went wrong I would require a full backup set of your files that includes the error.

Best regards

Sorry, not getting any exceptions. Are you sure that this backup set contains the error from before?

Yes, this is the backup I made when I had the error, before restoring to a previous state.
If I restore the one I sent you, the error is back for some reason. Really weird, it's the first time it ever happened, don't spend too much time on this if there's nothing obvious 😉

Thanks for the help anyways 🙂
