Joystick/Sidestick Reccommendation?

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering on any joystick/sidestick recommendations?  Had a pipe burst at home that took out my current old Thrustmaster Hotas kit so I guess nows the best time to replace/upgrade.  I mostly fly the bus FF/FSL versions these days so any good recommendations?  I like the twist feature as a cheap tiller so thats preferred but Im open to any other ideas for tiller as well.

Thrustmaster T.16000M.  Has Hall Effect transducers for pitch/roll/yaw (twist grip) axes, and is switchable from right-hand to left-hand grip.  Good value at ~$50.

Regards

Awesome!  Looks like a good deal and amazon has it for 40 bucks right now.  I dont need the throttle quad so thats not bad.

Wow....I'm liking the price of the 1600, just seems like its really light and moves around from what im reading.  Anyone have any experience on the vkb sticks?  I've read some good things there.

Ok if one was considering the warthog as every review points me there, how do you folks deal with the tiller for steering?  From what I read this stick has no twist.

So I popped for the warthog stick - it feels great and has awesome build quality but its def not comfortable for left hand flying.  I constantly hit the extra hat switch on the left side of the stick.  Granted I dont have anything set for that button but its still annoying.  Also not being able to have a twist axis for NWS is kind of a bummer too.  Ill have to put it through its paces to see if Ill keep it as it wasnt cheap.  Everyone said it feels "stiff" but this isn't what i expected - which isnt a bad thing.  It actually has more of a hydraulic feel to it which is interesting.  I just wish there was a better stick to go with this setup.
