You have a nice system which surely can run FSX well but remember, you could have super computer twice as fast as the one you have now, it will still crash when you run out of VAS or you have an incompatible piece of scenery or aircraft or module.  But your system is future proof and, I would strongly recommend moving up to P3Dv4 which is FSX but updated and it runs much better and you do not have the limitations of VAS.  Still it can crash too if you have an incompatible piece of scenery or aircraft or module.

Jim,

I doubt you saw my earlier reply, which did not quote you.  Anyway, my remaining Q is: If I go to Prepar3D, do I have to relearn all those keystrokes I've used since 1995?

Thanks again,

Mac6737

Mac6737, I am 99% sure the answer is no, almost all of the default keystrokes you use for FSX:SE are the same for P3D.

Sim: Prepar3D 5.2 (main) and Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020), CH Eclipse Yoke, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA Side Stick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Pedals, Saitek Cessna trim wheel, TrackIR 5, SPAD.neXt running 3 Saitek Logitech panels, ButtKicker Gamer 2, Razer Naga Chroma gaming mouse

System: Intel i5-10600K CPU @ 4.10 GHz, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, 64GB DDR4 RAM @ 4200 MHz, ASRock Z490M Pro4, 2TB Intel NVMe SSD 660p, 3 monitors

Oh boy!

BF Bullpup is correct. P3D is basically FSX but updated to the latest tech.
