Recommended Posts

Well I have ordered an ex lease dell pc which I am hoping will run the overhead 737 panel and am just about to order a 24 inch touch screen and mount it above my cockpit as the overhead panel

can’t wait as I have been wanting to do this for a long time so thanks again for the software

Let us know how it works out! Pictures would be interesting to see.

Good luck!

Its coming along just testing now, I have the overhead panel setup on a second computer, the display seems to be working but when I click any buttons they dont communicate into the game, however when i change in game they come up on the remote server so i guess this means it all works and I just need to pay for it?

I ended up storing the remote server on my second pc as well so I could send the payment requet, is this ok?

Cheers

Also is there anyway to run have both panels on the same screen or just have to toggle using the space bar?

can you get the overhead panel to sit in the middle of the screen?

well done on a fantastic program, it’s awesome

Hi,

yes, you need to purchase a license for the controls to influence the simulation.

And the license is for the server (SimServer) not the client - so it doesn't matter how many clients you run (or from where).

Not at this point.

You can however run the overhead client twice, once set up with the main overhead and once with the aft overhead.

Just trying to work out if I can centre the overhead panel or run it in portrait mode would be great

This is how the overhead should look

Is the MCDU in your picture small tablet or did you purchase an actual MCDU.  Just curious because I've been looking at purchasing some home cockpit hardware and it'd be nice to hear some feedback.

Thanks!

Well actually it must be a tablet, you can see the charging cable underneath.

@Mantamuzza now that is what i call a setup👍

Overhead will for sure add more reallity.

What are all these hardware components anyway, hard to see on the pic?

One more question: is the position of the MCDU not a bit uncomfortable?

Anyway => Jealous😉

Thanks, yep am very happy with the setup and cant wait for the overhead. I just ordered the touchscreen monitor yesterday so not to far off now.

I will take some better pics but am running the following:

1. VRInsight M panel

2. VRInsight U pro pit (I don't use this anymore)

3. VRInsight toggle and Tact switch panel

4. VRinishgt MCP COmbo 2 Boeing Panel

5. Acer tablet running flightsim app (its a tight fit where I have the tablet but works)

6. iPad running another program (will have to check again what it is)

7. XKeys strip

8.  Second pic to run overhead panel

plus a few more bits and pieces, all is working ok which is nice
