PMDG 747 v2 RAAS not showing in p3d v4.4 addon tab

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm in despair. I tried so many things but I didn't get my RAAS working for the PMDG 747 v2 and 748i in P3D v4.4. No RAAS is showing in the "Addon" tab in P3D. When I reinstall my PMDG 747, the pmdg installer didn't create a RAAS entry in my dll.xml file. I tried to delete the dll.xml file and reinstall the PMDG 747. No new dll.xml file is created...I really need help.

Thank you so much.

Dennis

Hi Dennis,

No need to "despair" ... there is hope for the future...

Not sure why the RAAS entry never showed up on your DLL.xml.   You're probably looking at the wrong DLL.xml.

In 99.9 percent of all cases, if RAAS doesn't show up in your Addons menu, it's because there's a problem with your DLL.xml.

Based on experience, there's probably a missing tag around the PMDG HUD entry.

This is what the RAAS entry should look like:

 <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>RAASPRO</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <Path>.\RAASPRO\RAASPRO.dll</Path>
    <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
    <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
  </Launch.Addon>

For P3D V4, look here:

C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4

Remember: Look for that missing tag around the PMDG HUD entry... I'll bet you it's missing.

Thank you. You are right. I was looking in the wrong one. In C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D is the entry in this dll.xml file. Where can I find the PMDG HUD entry?

Here you can see my dll.xml file in the path C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

-<SimBase.Document id="dll" version="3,0" Type="AceXML">

<Descr>AceXML Document</Descr>

<Filename>dll.xml</Filename>

-<Launch.Addon>

<Name>PMDG_Interface</Name>

<Disabled>False</Disabled>

<Path>PMDG\DLLs\PMDG_Interface.dll</Path>

<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>

<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>

</Launch.Addon>

-<Launch.Addon>

<Name>RAASPRO</Name>

<Disabled>False</Disabled>

<Path>.\RAASPRO\RAASPRO.dll</Path>

<DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>

<DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>

</Launch.Addon>

</SimBase.Document>

Still no RAAS in Add-ons. I will try to reinstall RAAS. I just delete all RAAS files I can find and then I have to run the PMDG 747 installer?
