Then I thought about driving to the airport, picking up my Eurofox, and flying over Meteor Crater.  Easy to find, take off out of Winslow, head due west or slightly south of it.  You cannot see it coming unless you climb to about 4000 feet AGL or so

My daughter goes to Northern Arizona Uni in Flagstaff at the foot of the San Francisco Peaks.  Often missed is the backside of the peaks on the way to Monument Valley, Lake Powell, and the East Entrance to the Grand Canyon.  It is also the route to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and an easy way to get to Bryce and Zion national parks in Utah, just an overnight drive from Phoenix where I live.
