GTN750 Problems on FSXSE

Recommended Posts

i just downloaded RXP GTN750, and bought real sim gear GTN750 touch screen - however, I can't get the gauge to work in FSX SE - but I can in Xplane 11.  Ive downloaded both plugins for each sim system - however the FSXSE version just won't work.  It shows on my addons but doesn't work or ends up crashing the system all together,

if anyone has a fix or is willing to look at it for me, it would be much appreciated

Hi,

Can you please be more explicit about what you do between launching the sim to 'doesn't work'?

Can you please post the content of the RXP log files? (see manual for file/path)

Besides, we've just release v2.5.12 update (both X-Plane and FltSim) and it would be better you first try this latest version.

Hi Tony,
Do not see that anyone welcomed you to Avsim. So I offer a welcome!  This is a great place to advance your simulation experience. I am I believe now beyond 20 years here.  The community here is a great reason I have not left.

Hang in there on your issue.  You will find help. Just be patient.  It often takes some back and forth exchanges of questions, answers, head scratching, and light bulbs going off!  Somewhere here is someone who has had the same or a related issue.  Give it time for that to surface!  But do not be gone long.  The trail to resolution then grows cold.

Hi,

please help me understand what you are doing so that we can help you.

When you say it shows on my add ons, what do you mean precisely? Is this a menu?

It doesn't work or ends up CTD. If these are two different outcomes in your perspective, can you please detail what does it mean for you 'doesn't work' as opposed to 'it CTD'?

Last but not least, we're now at v2.5.13 since my initial answer, and further to this, we've identified an issue with FSX-SE: the Panel Assistant fails to recognize aircraft purchased via steam (they are in a FSX-SE\DLC\#####\ subfolder) and the gauges therefore will fail for the same reason to locate some of the aircraft file when starting up (files like aircraft.cfg). This is not a problem when the DLC aircraft files reference files outside the 'DLC' subfolder though (using alias=)

The next update will correct this, thus in the meantime if this applies to you, you might want to try again with a stock aircraft like the Baron 58 to cross-check.

Yes - in the addons on the top of the page it shows RPX tabs and I can click the tab, but it doesnt activate the gauge

It doesnt work at all - it only cycles and then nothing happens.

I dont ncessiarly understand how to update? is this automatic? as for the aircraft - im trying to use the standard 737-800

The next update will correct this, thus in the meantime if this applies to you, you might want to try again with a stock aircraft like the Baron 58 to cross-check.

Hi,

There is no 'TAB' but a menu instead, and it is not at the top of a page, but in the application menu bar.

Can you please open the RXP User's Manual and compare what you are describing with the illustration p4. ?!?!?
