Tinmouse hardcodes external lights. Is it possible?

Recommended Posts

Hello.

Is it possible have hardcoded external lights for Tinmouse?

A friend of mine said that it is possible, but he doesn't have the sources files or even the authors contacts.

Is it possible get the sources from the authors? Does someone have the authors contacts?

Hi Claudio,

No contact and no source files.
But it's possible to add hardcoded lights
with the tool Model Converter X.
I have converted all Tin Mouse models to
FSX native format and added all lights hardcoded
except the vc lights.

I see.

If you made this for FSX, can you make for FS2004?

Sorry Cláudio, no i can't,
because i don't have FS2004 or the FS9 SDK.
But it's not too difficult with MCX, you need only
the MCX tool and the FS9 SDK.
But why is it so necessary, to have hard coded lights?

Hi Bluebear and thanks for your contact.

Is not a problem to use it as it is today but, I'd like to use some good effects (to spray and reverse) on it. To configurate them I need use [Lights] seccion.

Because each navigation lights, logo and fuselage lights are using effects, there is no "space" to insert some lights like A2A Shockwave and effects to simulate spray and reverse.

Actually, I need some night textures, along with the hardcoded lights.

Regards.

Cláudio

Ah okay, i understand, that's make sense.
Regarding the reverser spray effects, i found a smoke effect not a light effect file
