There's a possibility he's over here in England helping setup a mega computer for a flight sim enthusiast.

Rob has probably withdrawn active participation here. Too many know-it-all's trying to tell him 'how it is' with P3D.

I wouldn't blame him. You try to help and just get hammered like in this post. Wish him well. I always liked his post very informative.  Josh

What has this to do with Rob being not around anymore ? 🤔

Well, there was discussion and links to his thread on the True Earth. Sorry forum police. I guess this is why people aren't around. In hindsight it could have gone in the other topic but still......

If a moderator doesn't like the post, feel free to move it.

I've always enjoyed reading Rob's posts - very informative.
One of the most knowledgeable people around the flightsim community.

I agree. Seems his profile on Avsim is gone. I hope he continues to post on Youtube. I always enjoyed his insights. My sim runs great thanks to him.

I don't blame him leaving here. Too much word not allowed from wannabes and know it alls who in reality know zero.

Rob's user account now shows up as Guest so I assume that is at least temporarily inactive. AVSim has served for many years as the online Swiss Army Knife for discussing flight simulation. Unfortunately, with all the major developers now having their own in-house forums (PMDG being the last to do so), the discussion about flight sims across the Internet has become quite disseminated I think that Rob just came to the realization that his interests are more focused than those of the typical users of the AVSim forums.

To be honest, other than trying to help out the semi-abandoned users of VOXATC, I also have cut down on my time spent here. It's just a natural progression though and nothing philosophical on my part.

This is sad news if correct.

Seen many great people come and go. Over the years it seems It is my observation, Forums have become another "Social Media Outlet". (Facebook, Twitter). It use to be we HELPED each other in the day of freeware addons without caustic opinions and with respect and kindness.. Reckon its the environment of todays society. should never allow the question "What is the Best.......".  Fighting words. Rob will be missed.  🙂

Seems he also took down his website http://robainscough.com which was always a great place to get insight on SLI configs for those who do that.

At any rate, it would seem that, for reasons of his own, Rob has decided to alter his public profile, which is certainly his right.  I don't think it's appropriate to have a discussion here to speculate about why/what an individual decides to do with himself, and with that in mind I'm going to close this discussion.
