USAF honours crew on 75th anniversary of crash in Sheffield

This is a remarkable commemmoration of an event 75 years ago today. A US Air Force WW2 aircraft narrowly avoided killing children when it crashed in Sheffield, England on 22 Feb 1944 killing all on board.

Mr Foulds tended the memorial all his life and was rewarded this morning when the USAF and RAF performed a fly-by over the spot. What a great tribute to both Mr Foulds and the brave crew.

A very emotional occasion. Lots of tears shed but a day that showed the best of the human spirit.
