Falcon 50 ALT SEL not capturing (with video)

Recommended Posts

Update: Do not use the metric option for unit of measurement. This aircraft is an analog altimeter so i was not suppose to use this feature. So instead of updating the code so the ALT SEL works for meters we are just removing code that allows the altimeter to display meters and only display feet.

The Lear will get this new feature because the altimeter is digital and the ALT SEL is built in the unit.

I had the option set in my P3D settings. Oddly enough I haven't run into this problem before (that I know of). I have since switched it to US settings and I had flawless flight from KSBA to KSFO with the Falcon. Thank you so much for solving this issue for me.

I just know a few of us have repeatable problems if we don't use an appropriate default plane first. This may be peculiar to our particular systems, bit since it solves the problems..............

It is not necessary to fully load into the scenario with a default aircraft, but using a default aircraft in the initial saved scenario that comes up when the sim is first started (so that it at least appears as the “rotating aircraft” in the window of the scenario selection screen) is required by several developers.

Saving a PMDG aircraft as the default starting scenario, is strongly discouraged in the introduction documents for both the 777 and 747 series. Doing so almost guarantees that the aircraft will malfunction once loaded.

The Aerosoft CRJ will also have issues when loaded (especially in FSX), if it is saved as the default flight.
