Best headset for 6" phone, Riftcat, etc?

Tried this approach last year but the headset was very uncomfortable. I still have my phone and all licensed software and want to try it again.

Suggestions please

What brand of phone?

It is a ZTE Z981 Max Pro and fits all the requirements for VR with FlyInside. I believe it was caarot (spelling?) who recommended this phone.( It took a 3 month contract with PCS Metro to unlock it).

 I only want to do a bit of flying in VR.  Tried Oculus Rift which is okay  but there were just too many cables and sensors for me.
