PMDG Installs following a Windows 10 Fresh Start Installation

Recommended Posts

I'm having some computer problems and considering selecting the Fresh Start option to install an up-to-date installation of Windows 10.  Before I do, I want to make sure that I'm not going to shoot myself in the foot with any installs of my PMDG products.  Or, at least be prepared to do a full reinstall.

Any thoughts or suggestions before I pull the trigger?

Thanks!

Be sure to deactivate any licenses you may have on any software that require it.

P3D has a deactivation, so you'll have to do that one.

Not sure about PMDG, but a quick glance at the documentation should answer it for you, or a quick search on the forum.

No problem with PMDG as long as you have the license information.  If I remember correctly, I rebuild my machine and then downloaded the most recent PMDG versions and then installed them on the new machine.

Better deactivate the licenses from the fmc as described in the intro documents. That way you ll be 100% sure. Worst case scenario send us a ticket  if you can’t activate

Thanks all,

I'm likely going to build a new computer n the coming months.  I think I will wait until then.  Too much trouble now.  However, this is good information for the new build.

Thanks everyone!
