FSDT KSDF Louisville scenery

I'm looking at buying this one for my cargo ops, as it's one of the largest and busiest cargo hubs in the world, and home to UPS air freight..

One thing I noticed when reading the product description at Simmarket is this feature...  "Custom UPS Worldport Cargo loading system"

What does that mean exactly..?? I don't currently have GSX (though i'm considering it) so if this is a feature that requires GSX to work i'm out of luck, at least for the time being, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me either way.

Any info is appreciated, thanks...🙂

Not entirely sure about that message flagged, but if it is of any interest, lately I have noticed a white message flag up from SimConnect, that states GSX will control the door ops, i.e. the service doors open and close automatically a service in GSX is called for. So, maybe the same at KSDF which I have but cannot verify right now.

As far as I know, it's referring to the specific cargo operations setup they have at that facility.

The Worldport system will only work with a cargo plane that has a left-forward main cargo door.  Right now the only option I've found in P3Dv4 is the CS 757F.  The most popular freighters (e.g. PMDG 777F/747F) won't work in those spots...they're either too big or have the doors in the wrong place.  Finding a parking spot to wedge the 747-8F into anywhere on the field is a real chore, too, if that's one of the things you want to do..

Also, the stair animations at those WorldPort gates have been broken for some time...Umberto's last word on it was it'd be fixed in the next GSX update, but that was back on 22 Jan (7 weeks ago).

Sky Simulations MD-11 v2.0, which is V4 compatible, has such a door. It does have custom animated cargo lifts, but you can open the doors without having them present. I do not know if it would indeed work with the particular KSDF scenery though (FSX:SE user here).

GSX works at all FSDT by default and is required. That is to say, no extra charge for it at FSDT airports.😉  GSX2 is an addon and separate item.
