P3D v4 BSOD

Hello.

I recently purchased the QW787. I tried to do 3 flights, with each crashing in the climb. By crash I mean a BSOD error (CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT).

 

I am not technical so I do not know where to start.

Any help is much appreciated.

It means your CPU overclock is bad.  Return your BIOS to the default or Optimal Defaults.

Yeah, Jim nailed it.  It can also be caused by overheated/faulty components on the motherboard, but I'd bet that it's your overclock settings.

If you're not over clocked, it's time for a serious system diagnostic. If you're not up for that, then I'd take the system to a computer repair shop and have them look at it... or you could just replace the motherboard... it will be the same or lower cost than having a shop fix it.

When you start up your computer, you should see a msg that states to hit the delete key continuously or maybe the F2 key.  You should then see the BIOS.  Go to Exit and you should see an option to save your settings as the Optimal Default.
