Is there a way to skip the startup and go straight to ready to fly?

Yes, you start it up, get it all configured the way you want it, then save it as a custom setup.  You can then select that from the FMS in the future.

I go into the FMC>Menu>Options>States>and select Ready for Takeoff.  However that is basic.  It is ready to takeoff but you have to set the flaps, set up the flight level, setup the FMC if you are going to do a flightplan, turn on the aircraft exterior lights, set the trim, and then takeoff.
