WidevieW problem -Help!

Recommended Posts

Lately, upon application startup, P3D tells me that the WidevieW registration key is corrupted or missing and that P3D will search for the vendor for a solution. It then goes into an infinite loop and never finishes starting.  The only work around I have is to uninstall WidevieW so P3D doesn’t get into this situation.  Of course, I need WidevieW to support my 6 outside view monitors.  And of course, my copy of WidevieW is legal (I have a key and I download it directly from the vendor’s website).  I’ve used WidevieW for a number of years with no issue, so I have no idea what’s causing the P3D/WidevieW combination to start acting up.

Help, please!

Thank you!

Scott

Did you ever resolve this problem? If so, could you please describe the solution? Thanks

I posted at the WidevieW forum, no response.  Not helpful.

Solution: I uninstalled P3D and WidevieW.  I then bought/installed P3Dv4 Pro Plus Developers license to take advantage of its multichannel feature.  No more need for Wideview or Wide Traffic.  That's not to say that I don't have challenges to overcome with Pro Plus, but I am encouraged that P3D is still in active development.

I want to run wideview to drive FS2020 from within P3D but have also had trouble registering the product.

I emailed info@wideview and got a response inviting me to try again.  This also failed.

I tried sending an email from the WidevieW web page but my email was rejected with bold red text saying my email address was blocked!

I haven't been able to find a WidevieW forum.

Can someone please paste a link here?

I ran into this issue a few years ago and this was the response from Luciano:

Wideview Reset:

Please try deleting completely the following key from the registry:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\sof#8203;tware\Microsoft\LMP364W

This is done by running Windows registry editor (regedit.exe)
This will force the software to start a new registration procedure from scratch.   Please make sure you are logged in as system administrator and do not login as a different user later whey flying.
