Hi!
I cannot seem to find any settings in the fmc on the 748f about autostart, but I have been using it in the UPS Livery all the time.
The instructions for engine start is on page 19 in the tutorial.

What page is that on and which specific manual?

Remember not all models have Auto Start... it's an airline option.

Ensure your model has autostart.

In the 74 '-8' there is only Autostart.  There is no manual start option actually.

So if Autostart did not start the engine.

[] ENG 1, 2, 3, 4 AUTOSTART

Condition: Autostart did not start the engine.

(affected engine) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . CUTOFF

2 Engine START switch
(affected engine) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Pull
3 Motor the engine for 30 seconds.
4 Engine START switch
(affected engine) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Push

Just to clear out the misunderstanding... Autostart works, the problem is that FS2CREW automatically selects the "manual way" so the start procedure that fs2crew uses is not correct. I can of course start the engines using autostart and bypass the fs2crew start...

No that button does not exist on the 747-8. its the "pull switches" and then you just immediately turn the fuel controllers to run... and autostart is performed.

Does your model have an Autostart button on the overhead?

I think that's how FS2Crew is checking to see if auto start is available or not.

This might need to be addressed then.  There is no Autostart button on any -8.  The aircraft was not designed todo manual starts at all.
