PMDG 747 vs Hardy Heinlin PSX

Recommended Posts

Hmm. So that's not the same as having a breaker trip beacuse of a system problem elsewhere which you then have to ascertain and correct or adapt to for the rest of the flight.

The PMDG has situations where it will wander left or right of the magenta line. It also does not simulate some RNP Specific functions like Radius to fix legs. Even the iFly 747 simulates this and flies it better.

In terms of LNAV, PMDG still has a lot of room for improvement. Fortunately though, they are currently working on rebuilding their LNAV Code from the ground up for all their planes. When will this release though is anyones guess, but they are working on it and it should be better when that upgrade comes.

I don’t use PSX, but I have heard a lot about it. I suspect some posters here don’t realize how legendary this product is.

PMDG QOTSII I do use. It’s a great plane, and one i’m happy to recommend, but it won’t quite match the depth you’re used to.
