G530/G430 GPS/HSI

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

XP11.32, Win 7/64, Carenado T210M, RXP G530/G430, Version: 2.4.10

I'm having issues with HSI/CRS slew in GPS mode. I prefer manual HSI adjustment, however, HSI will not manually adjust without "Connect HSI/CRS (auto-slew)" selected.

Hi,

You might want to first download the latest update (v2.4.11 just released). It corrects a number of things involved with the panel instruments.

From there, this might be a bug (we've just released an update missing this one 😞 ) or, it is a Carenado T210 limitation when using "Connect GPS to VOR Indicator" (you have this enabled). AFAIK, the HSI OBS and the VOR OBS are the same and anything affecting one is also affecting the other.

Can you please cross check with a stock aircraft like the B58?

Ok thanks, I will try it right away. Are you saying "Connect GPS to VOR Indicator" should or should not be enabled?

I'm not sure whether this is the cause of the issue you are reporting so you might want to try both (it is just a click away), but also compare with the B58.

I tried the default Laminar B58 with the RXP 530 and all is well. With the Carenado T210M RXP G530/G430 the HSI is not adjustable while in GPS mode. I've tried all sorts of combinations with RXP settings. VLOC is ok. This with RXP 2.4.11.

This most likely is an issue with this aircraft, or, it is like this by design and this is easy to cross-check: try the T210M with the default GPS in GPS mode and see if it locks the OBS as well. Then open the aircraft with plane-maker and see whether they've enabled the setting which is similar to the RXP auto-slew  (I can't recall the name but there is one equivalent natively).
