P3d 4.5 is out!

Recommended Posts

Any need to update the Content?, or it´s enough to update just the Client?.

I'm getting bad frame rate with 4.5, and when I try to change graphics settings P3D just disappears.

Mine is doing the exact same thing.  I deleted the .cfg file and then ran p3D.  it ran good before and after I deleted the file.  When I try to adjust any settings the bar loads to 100% then it just crashed.  Have you figured anything out yet or should we probably put in a ticket or it.

Brandon

EDIT:  When I tried to start it a couple times it began to work correctly.  I noticed higher frames as well when compared to flying at the same airport with the same settings.

Hey Folks!

I need to update my critique of 4.5.  The loading time issues with TrueEarth Netherlands is not due to 4.5 update but an issue with the latest update for TrueEarth Netherlands.  After disabling sheds, greenhouses and lighthouses in the TE NLD control panel my loading times improved significantly as a matter of fact loading times of other intensive ORBX scenery such as Orlando and Gold Coast loading times were dramatically improved.

And I for one am excited about fixing the velocity and timing of the particle emitter.

With all these back and forth comments I still don’t know if it’s worth updating or not half of y’all are saying what the heck is this and the other half is like this is the best thing since sliced bread haha

As I said, updated, no issues, can't see any difference. Just my 2 cents.

hello, I installed the v4.5 and LFPG-LFPO-LFMN scenery, at night I don't see the apron illumination despite having dynamic lights on, I tried v4.4 and everything works ... is it a bug?  does anyone have this problem?

At this point, who is LM targeting with these types of updates?  I, as just an average simmer, don't see anything that really makes me eager to update.

Hi,

Updated Client and Content and ActiveSky. No problems, works like a charm although I do not see any differences (yet). ...

PSXseeconTraffic still works with P3D 4.5 but a new 64 bit version compiled with the Simconnect library of P3D 4.5 is available.

Regards,

Nico

Asked myself more or less the same question. Anyway still waiting for addons to get updated. Specifically regarding your question "who's targeted" : the content of the update is a good reminder that P3D is not FSx and don't address (exclusively) the consumer market.

PBR content requires some textures that are only delivered / updated via the content component.

Like to know more about this point. Is it confirmed ? X-validated by other sources ? I know PBR was under the spotlight previously and saw also developpers like Flytampa quite reluctant but it was a interesting feature I'll like to see by myself when my (future) addons get compatible.

They have further optimized scenery loading and if you have lots of Orbx scenery that puts a strain on your system, you may well notice an improvement..

So far, I like what I am seeing
