Prepar3d version 4.5 and Lorby Addons

Recommended Posts

Hello @ll,

when updating your simulator to version 4.5 from an earlier 4.x you don't have to do anything WRT your Lorby-SI Addons. Since they are all installed and referenced externally, they continue to work even if you decide to do a full uninstall & reinstall of your simulator.

It is still early days, but from what tests I was able to run (FireFighterX, CropDusterX, AiTrackerX, CameraPositionX, WAMA), there don't seem to be any issues.

Best regards

Working Great so Far.   Do you know is further development will occur with FFX such as ROS affected by wind direction and smoke lean?  2019-4-28-12-53-30-503.jpg

Hi,

no further development has been scheduled, sorry.

"ROS affected by wind direction and smoke lean?"

What exactly do you mean by that?

Best regards

Hello Robert,

not sure what you mean, FFX has all that already? Smoke is blown away by wind, and the fire reacts to wind speed and direction. It will grow as per the rule of thumb in a funnel shape with a certain percentage of the wind speed (but note the size limit - when the fires have reached the limit that you set, they can grow no more - and the limit is ultimately determined by simulator performance). Precipitation affects it as well as ambient temperature does. Every fire has a notable updraft of hot air rising from it. All this is certainly not to the same level of sophistication as is LWR, but the functionality is there.

Best regards
