Isn't that already possible? I think you can add smoke FX to a scenery object now.

The effect has a random component, (so it is unpredictable) and is environmentally reactive (moves with the wind).

Thx for the reply everybody. And yes, saw that smoke is already done for some subjetcs in FS9. This evening, I crused around Seattle and saw that on the big black round shaped high house(confusing:D), there actually was smoke comming up :)In real, I remember some of the times I have flown with clear vis, it was really cool to see the smoke below, fly slowly up in the sky... :D(But think it would be possible for the 3rd parties to develop such a thing. So I havn't lost the hope yet :) )Kasper BehrentzsDenmarkALL NEWS FROM FSX COLLECTED AT ONE PLACE!MY SITE, http://www.xflightx.piczo.com http://pic.piczo.com/img/i167876616_71278.gif

You can always look up the Autogen SDK and create a house or something with a smoke effect added and add it in to your autogen xml...I might end up doing something like that for Africa and South America as you can often see smoke over those regions while flying in certain areas...That just gave me an idea... I remember once being 7000' up a mountain in Mexico and helping the vilalge hunt one night. We walked along trails next to very steep drops and you could see all over the mountain ridges lines of fire from sugar cane being burned...I wish I had a GPS back then because I'd love to go visit those places again in FS...

Even FS2002 could do it... All you have to do is create and place the FX files... It's not that hard to create a burning ridgeline of fire...Read the SDK's they will tell you how to do it... I did it by reading the SDK's
