Black Box flickering

Recommended Posts

Whenever I switch views or sometimes when I pan around I get a flickering black box for a couple seconds. It seems to be worse with the fslabs a320. Any one else have this issue? I'm on a fresh install of 4.5. Is this a fslabs, chaseplane, or p3d issue?

If you mean a flickering black box instead of a cloud or some other feature for example until that texture loads in then it's down to speed. FSX:SE does it, I guess P3D does it too and it's not related to chaseplane specifically or an add-on. However, the more bells and whistles you load the sim up with, the more it taxes your hardware.

It may be the speed of your hard drive getting info to the graphics card to render on screen, it may be the speed of your CPU and/or graphics card. Complex add-ons have an impact too.

If this isn't the kind of flickering box you're on about then my apologies.

The black box is also when I being up the chaseplane menu. It has nothing to do with clouds.

OK, no problem. I was just using clouds as an example of black boxing when the sim is loading up a texture. Hope you get the matter resolved soon.

Thank you. It’s only when I pan sometimes and when I bring up the chase plane menu to switch between views. A black box flickers for a second and then goes away. It only happens with the fslabs for some reason.

Anyone know why this happens? It's when I go into the chase plane menu with middle mouse button I get a black box that flickers for a second and then goes away.

I have nearly the same issue here. But it´s flickering sporadic in the middle of the screen, independently of the middle mouse button.

I still haven't figured out what the cause of this is.

Try to enable vsync and triple buffering in P3d. That´s fixed it for me (momentarly).

I'll try it. Thank you.
